The Interconnections of the Glass World

A detail shot of the glass sculpture of a man emerging from a building. This focuses on the neck and hands of the man pulling his way out of the building. His fingers are curved over the side of the building, and you can see the wrinkles in his skin and the allusion of water dripping off his hands. The building is encircled with decorative lines and patterns. The gothic windows are shown to have details of window panes.

The modern artwork we admire is the result of decades of influence from several artists. Read about the overlap between three glass artists and their influence on art in the FWMoA collection! Join Collections Assistant, Valerie Michel, in reviewing work by Mark Bokesch-Parsons.
