Now on View: Hoosier Salon History & Highlights

We’re celebrating the 100th Anniversary of The Hoosier Salon, an annual exhibition begun in 1924 and organized by the Daughters of Indiana that sought to recognize and celebrate Indiana artists. Designed to increase exposure to their work and encourage sales, that initial exhibition proved great artists are found anywhere and everywhere.

The Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s permanent collection includes many of these artists, and those that exhibited well after that inaugural Salon. To celebrate the exhibition, From Their Home, We’ve compiled a list of blog posts, below, highlighting artists who have exhibited throughout the Salon’s 100 year history. Whether you’ve seen the exhibition and want to know more, or now know more and want to see the exhibition, we hope these posts help you find a new favorite Indiana artist!
